Your day as a Maintenance Technician

As a new Maintenance Technician at wedi Corporation, you'll step into an engaging environment where the excitement of manufacturing maintenance comes to life! Each day, you'll tackle preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring all equipment runs smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular inspections, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and collaborating with the team to optimize processes. Expect a structured schedule from 2 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work to keep things fresh and lively.

Initially, you'll undergo training on the 1st shift from 8 AM to 4:30 PM for up to 10 weeks, giving you the foundation to excel in your role. Embrace this opportunity to learn and grow in a fun, high-performance atmosphere, where every day brings new challenges and opportunities for innovation!

Requirements for this Maintenance Technician job

To thrive as a Maintenance Technician at wedi Corporation, you'll need a toolkit full of skills and a proactive mindset! Experience in general building and machine maintenance is essential, along with proficiency in using hand and power tools. Your expertise in electrical systems (120/240/480 volts) and plumbing will be invaluable as you navigate daily challenges. You should feel comfortable reading and writing in English, as well as have welding skills in arc, MIG, and TIG processes.

As a self-starter, you will work independently and stay organized, demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication. Familiarity with forklift and scissor lift operation is a plus! Your common-sense problem-solving abilities will help you tackle various tasks, while knowledge of PPE and LOTO is crucial for ensuring safety. Physically, be prepared to lift up to 80 pounds with assistance and 50 pounds unassisted.

Daily tasks will require you to kneel, stoop, bend, and twist, along with standing for extended periods. You'll need to maneuver around equipment and be ready to work in both chilly and warm conditions. With the right skills and determination, you'll make a significant impact in our vibrant manufacturing environment!

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Experience in General Building/Machine Maintenance
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Electrical experience (120/224/480)
  • Plumbing experience
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Welding (arc/mig/tig)
